Samantha Brown cooks Cambodian Cuisine (N’norm Pa-kong”)
Absolutely LOVE when my mom makes jello! lol She only makes it whenever we’re going to the temple though :/
This type of jello (“jah-hoouey”) consists of minced/tiny cubes of jack fruit and a layer of coconut milk on the top.
Bai Mouan (Cambodian Chicken & Rice)
This dish is all about the broth & toppings. I’ve got fried garlic, preserved cabbage, cucumbers, scallions & of course a classic Khmer dipping sauce (fish sauce, lime juice, chilies & garlic)

btw, the green stuff is “sadite couer” — i like it cuz it adds a little crunchiness :)
Tha’pai made with mae da’bai. lol :) — but yes i love coconut lol.
ooooo! has anyone ever had this before?! i absolutely LAVVVV it! Especially at little family barbecues. My uncle once made these at his house one summer, it’s pretty yummy. What’s put inside is sticky, sweet rice with beans or whatever of your choice and its stuffed inside a bamboo and then is grilled. You eat the inside of course lol. :)
Foodz fresh from Cambodia!
